As a board-certified pediatrician, parent, cancer survivor and journalist, my writing is informed my experience of the multiple facets of the medical system. I specialize in clear engaging content that bridges the gap between patients and physicians. I aim to bring clear engaging content that demystifies healthcare, shares the powerful narratives of the exam room, and empowers both patients and providers to be more understanding, compassionate and healthy. I am a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and the State University of New York School of Medicine in Brooklyn. I completed my pediatrics residency through the Harvard Medical School/Boston University School of Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center. I am currently an instructor of pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and attending physician at Children's Hospital Colorado. My writing has been featured in diverse outlets such as Discover magazine, Narratively, Bellevue Literary Review, Doximity, KevinMD.com, Academic Medicine.
